CRIME WATCH

Michael Buettner

Playground equipment stolen from Ettrick school

Thieves in general are rightly regarded as low on the scale of social values, but some crimes – even if they aren’t considered the most serious – seem to reveal the perpetrators as the lowest of the low.

Robbing the blind or assaulting the elderly, for example, would be viewed by most people as inherently heinous acts. So would stealing from children.

On May 17, some person or persons unknown managed to steal from children and from county taxpayers in one fell swoop by taking unassembled playground equipment parts from Ettrick Elementary School in the 20900 block of Chesterfield Avenue in Ettrick.

Anyone who has information about this incident or any other crime is asked to call Crime Solvers at 748-0660. You can also submit a tip at www.crimesolvers.net or by texting WATSON plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
