Crime doesn’t take a holiday

Michael Buettner

Traditionally, Christmas is meant to be a time of peace on Earth and good will toward others, when it’s better to give than to receive, and so on. Obviously, some people don’t get the message:

• An unspecified number of unknown suspects kicked open the front door of a home in the 14400 block of Leafield Drive in the Rosemont subdivision off Winterfield Road around 9 p.m. on Dec. 25 but fled when confronted by a resident.

• Two unknown suspects approached a bicyclist in the 3800 block of Dupuy Road in the Washington Place subdivision near Ettrick around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 25. They pulled him off the bike and stole cash, electronic devices, jewelry and miscellaneous items from him, then left in an unspecified vehicle. The victim also left the area and, on returning later, discovered that his bicycle had been stolen.

• An unspecified number of unknown suspects kicked open the front door of a home in the 1300 block of Enon Avenue in the Morrisdale neighborhood off East Hundred Road around 11 p.m. on Dec. 25 and assaulted a female resident.

Anyone who has information about these incidents or any other crime is asked to call Crime Solvers at 748-0660. You can also submit a tip at www.crimesolvers.net or text WATSON plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
