Grass Roots program returns

Cooperative Extension’s Grass Roots program is back and open through June. The annual program provides county residents an opportunity to learn about and remedy problems specific to their yards. A trained master gardener will come to participants’ homes to measure the lawn, take soil samples and provide personalized recommendations based on detailed site evaluations.

The program fee is $25 and covers the cost of supplies, materials and one soil test; additional soil samples are $11 each. The program is limited to the first 400 residents who apply.
