Police charge man with stabbing

Police have arrested and charged a suspect with malicious wounding for a stabbing that took place on the Fourth of July.

At about 2:10 a.m., police responded to the South Beach Bar and Grill in the 13900 block of Hull Street Road for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim who had been stabbed. An officer and a bystander provided medical assistance until rescue workers arrived, and the victim was transported to Chippenham Hospital.

An investigation indicates that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation inside the restaurant with an adult male and an adult female. The victim was asked to leave the restaurant in an effort to separate the parties. The male and female left later, and when they left, the victim and the adult male became involved in a physical altercation outside the restaurant, where the victim was stabbed. The adult male and adult female fled, and were later apprehended by police.

The adult male, Daniel R. Narron, 25, of the 14200 block of Barberry Court, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. The adult female was questioned and released; she was not charged. The victim is expected to survive, and the investigation is ongoing.

Two people flee scene after chase

County police are looking for two people on the run following a chase that took place the morning of July 10.

Just before 3:30 a.m., county police tried to pull over a speeding car on Hull Street Road when the car sped off. The car drove for less than a mile, stopping in the area of McKesson Drive and McKesson Court, where three occupants fled the vehicle. One occupant, a juvenile female, was apprehended. Two males fled the scene and were not apprehended. Two guns were recovered at the scene.

Police say the driver neglected to put the car in park. It rolled down a hill, hitting a mailbox. No one was injured. Officers say the car was found to have been stolen in Richmond. Police have yet to release information about the suspects.
