The curtain rises again: Monacan High troupe brings first post-pandemic musical to the stage

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? If you watched Nickelodeon during a certain time period, you probably know this question – and the answer – by heart. From May 5-7, the Monacan High School theater program will be bringing the beloved cartoon to life with their production of “The Spongebob Squarepants Musical.”

"This is our first musical since 2019, and I thought that it would be an amazing show to do for recruiting," says Robert Fuhrman, theater director at Monacan. "Between choir, band and theater, we haven't been able to do shows. We're hoping this is something that will bring people in."
